Prosciutto Pizza

Oberto Prosciutto, Pear & Arugula Pizza on the Grill

We’re all spending more time in the kitchen and many of us are tasked with finding new recipes. Well.. we’re here to help turn your kitchen into a Pizza Parlor with Oberto Italian Prosciutto.

Ingredients

1 serving of pizza dough (store-bought or make your own!)

1 package of Oberto Prosciutto

1 pear - cored & thinly sliced

4oz (½ cup) of goat cheese

4 oz (½ cup) of mozzarella / provolone / parmesan - or mixture

3 Tbsp. Olive oil

1 cup Arugula

2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)

Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Make pizza dough, or bring store-bought dough to room temperature.

  2. Turn BBQ grill onto HIGH heat - the higher the heat the better. Looking for 500F.

  3. Have all your pizza toppings together before you grill as grilled pizza moves quickly.

  4. Over medium heat, sauteeé pear in pan on stove until just golden (you don’t want to put uncooked pear on pizza or it will lose all its moisture during the cooking of the pizza-making the crust soggy).

  5. Grate cheeses.

  6. Toss arugula with lemon juice, salt & pepper (optional - can also just use plain arugula)

  7. Roll out pizza dough and brush one side with 2 Tbsp. olive oil.

  8. Once the grill is very hot, place pizza dough on the grill (olive oil side down). Turn the heat down to medium-high. You may need to prick the dough with a sharp knife as it starts to bubble.

  9. Brush the top of the dough with the remaining 2 Tbsp. of olive oil.

  10. After 3-4’ flip over the dough and prepare to top with toppings.

  11. Top pizza with cheese first, followed by pears, followed by prosciutto.

  12. Close the lid of the grill and let cook for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden.

  13. Remove pizza from grill and top with arugula tossed in lemon juice. Sprinkle with sea salt & pepper.

Serve a family of four and enjoy!
