Oberto Thanks US Military Troops with
Special Holiday Gift
SEATTLE, WA
(December 16, 2003) At Oberto Sausage Company, having fun is not
an option – it’s a way of life. From daily
meetings to company wide events, the “Have
Fun” culture runs deep throughout the
company. Pick up any bag of Oh Boy! Oberto
Beef Jerky and you will get a personal
greeting from Chairman of the Board/CEO Art
Oberto that reads, We hope you have as
much fun eating our jerky as we had making
it. In addition to this “Have Fun”
attitude, the company also makes sure that
each employee and their family feels
appreciated – a gesture not offered by many
companies today. This holiday season, the
Oberto family and Oberto Sausage Company
will extend this same gesture of
appreciation outside the company to US
Military Troops stationed overseas. Over the last several months the company has
received hundreds of requests for Beef Jerky
from US Troops. Oberto responded by
donating over 15,000 goodie bags to military
personnel stationed overseas for the
holidays. Each goodie bag contained a
variety of Oberto Meat Snack Products and
included a personal thank you from Art
Oberto. Says Mr. Oberto, “This gift is in
appreciation of our troops. We are
grateful to our soldiers and to their
families this holiday season and throughout
the year”. Richmark Co. and Cascade Print Media donated
printing of the holiday cards and stickers
for the occasion. Local companies,
including Operation Iraq - Spirit of
Christmas donated shipping of the holiday
bags.
This year marked the 85th
anniversary of Oberto Sausage Company.
Family owned and operated, Oberto is one of
the largest meat snack companies in the
nation, operating three manufacturing plants
throughout Washington and Oregon and
employing over 1000 people.
