Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky, title sponsor of the
U-6 Miss Madison Unlimited Hydroplane has
 undergone
major modifications to be more competitive in
the Unlimited Hydroplane Racing circuit.
Operating under a new Crew Chief, Mike Hanson,
the revamped boat is operating at 5-6 MPH faster
than last season and is sporting a new paint
design.
For the first time in the history of the Oh Boy!
Oberto sponsorship, the U-6 boat is leading in
National High Points at mid-season. To date,
the U-6 Oh Boy! Oberto has placed second in
Madison,
Detroit and Tri-Cities. Driver Steve David is
currently preparing for a win at the 2004
Chevrolet Cup at SEAFAIR. “The U-6 team is more
focused and driven to perform than ever before”
says David, “This is a David and Goliath
situation – once you have tasted the possibility
of a national championship you put everything on
the line to maintain it”.
Since 1975, Oh Boy! Oberto has been involved
with Unlimited Hydroplane Racing in some shape
or form. To date, Oh Boy! Oberto has grown
their reputation for having fun at racing events
to a national scale. “Race Fans love Beef Jerky
- it is a natural fit with the sport” says
Sports Marketing Technical Director Larry
Oberto, “with the announcement of Budweiser’s
retirement from the racing circuit and the
current uncertainty of the direction of the
sport, it is more important than ever have
sponsors like Oh Boy! Oberto to help bring fans
back to the water to watch the worlds fastest
race boats”.
In addition to the Title Sponsorship of the U-6
Miss Madison, Oh Boy! Oberto will also sponsor
the Pit Tour at SEAFAIR. Fans can bring any Oh
Boy! Oberto product wrapper (3.5 oz or larger)
to the Chevrolet Cup at SEAFAIR and get a FREE

5th-7th.
